Due to limited venue capacity, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate plus ones beyond those specifically listed on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding.

As our ceremony and reception take place on school grounds, smoking and vaping of any kind is strictly prohibited by the venue and will result in immediate removal from the premises, and a $500 fine for the bride and groom.

We are blessed to be in a phase of life where many of our friends and family have young children, who we very much love and adore! Due to the limitations of our venue, our wedding is an adult-only event unless otherwise specified on your invitation.

Comfortable footwear is encouraged! Guests will walk down a boardwalk path and through sand to take their seats at the ceremony. The reception will take place on a grass lawn with asphalt paths. The Leelanau school is in a heavily wooded area, and light debris is expected along the walkways (acorns, sticks, etc.) Please select your footwear accordingly.

Yes! There are two parking lots near the entrance of the Leelanau School. Cars can be left in the parking lot overnight if need be.

Summertime in Michigan is beautiful! Expect highs in the 70's and low 80's during the day, and evening lows in the 60's. Lake Michigan can be windy as well, so a light jacket is encouraged.

To fully capture the special moments of our ceremony, we kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during this time. We've hired a professional photographer to capture our wedding, and we would love for you to be fully present with us as we exchange our vows.

Yes! The ceremony will be uncovered on the beach. Umbrellas will not be provided but are encouraged should the weather call for rain. A secondary, indoor location is available in the event of severe weather. The reception will take place in a covered tent on the Leelanau School lawn.
